About Kalin D. Kelso

Kalin Kelso, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon caring for patients in Austin, Texas and its surrounding communities.

After graduating from Lamar University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Dr. Kelso earned his Medical Degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine. He completed his Orthopedic Residency at Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas. While serving as Chief Resident, Scott & White was declared as one of the top 10 Orthopedic Training programs in America by Newsweek Magazine.

Dr. Kelso has served as the Director of Sports Medicine and the Chief of Orthopedics at the prestigious Austin Diagnostic Clinic since 2011.

During his tenure in Austin, he has received notoriety from Texas Monthly Magazine as a Super Doctor in 2004, 2006, and 2007.

For the last 10 years, Dr. Kelso has developed and perfected his expertise in performing arthroscopic surgery and total joint replacement of the shoulder and knee. He has successfully completed thousands of procedures.

Dr. Kelso is married and is the father of three boys. All are actively involved with sports. His son Ian Kelso presently plays for the State Champion Lake Travis High School football team. In his spare time, Dr. Kelso enjoys running, boating on Lake Travis, and spending time with his wife and boys.
