About Mandi Amburn, PA-C
Mandi is a native of Lubbock, Texas were she began her love for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine as an athlete then Athletic Trainer. She received her first Bachelor of Science, while on scholarship for Athletic Training at Eastern New Mexico University. She then obtained a second Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies while also earning a Masters of Medical Science from Nova Southeastern University. Mandi began practicing as a PA-C in orthopedics in 2005.
Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience practicing at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and the prestigious Carrell Clinic in Dallas, TX. Throughout her years of service, she has provided care for pediatric to geriatric patients in the orthopedic urgent care setting, treating both acute injuries and chronic musculoskeletal complaints, weekend warriors to professional athletes. She is also experienced in pre, intra, and post-operative care of orthopedic surgical patients to include first-assisting in the operating room. Mandi also offers and utilizes regenerative medicine in her practice.
Mandi is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners. She is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic surgery.
In her free time, Mandi enjoys being with her family and friends. Her hobbies include traveling, discovering new nature trails and is an avid sports fan, particularly Texas Tech.
She is excited to serve all patients at her new practice, Austin Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, with Dr. Matthew J. Crawford and team in North Austin.
